HISTORY

Established in 1998, as a design/build company with a retail showroom and custom fabrication shop, fix studio grew in the area of design and custom fabrication through commercial commissions. In 2002, Jako and Bleiler, partners in life and design, focused on space planning and furniture design for commercial and residential interiors. They established a regional furniture design exhibit, ShowPDX, to further furniture craft and design in the Pacific Northwest.

Our branded interiors and objects have been recognized by major national publications. fix studio’s residential work focuses on extending the personalities and lifestyles of the homeowner into a warm, effortless environment to call home. Our greatest achievement has been creating popular and successful gathering spaces with bespoke furniture and fixtures where communities and families interact.

Over the years, through multiple projects, fix has been directly involved in every aspect of the creation of interiors: from brand story and concept development to naming, logo and graphic design, identifying proper equipment and fixtures, to space planning, to custom lighting, service corridors, lighting design, fixture selection, custom fabrication of fixtures and furnishings and installation. These deliverables are accomplished through coordination with our partner contractors, architects, subcontractors and custom builders, and ownership/ developers.

We have been in business for 20 years, giving fix studio extensive experience in interior, environmental, branding, and product design for commercial, retail and residential projects.
